Prayer Vigil Reminder and Information Sheet

Because praying for an hour (or more) for many may seem like a monumental task, we have compiled some suggestions on how you might make this time of prayer more meaningful for you and for those on the weekend. Remember these are just suggestions.
In selecting a time, make it a time you can truly devote to the Lord.
Pick a place where you can be quiet. Kneel or sit before the Lord.
Material you may want to have on hand: Pilgrim List, Team List, your Bible, prayer book, a notebook or prayer journal, and a pen.
PRAY: For the Lord’s presence. Quiet your heart, mind, body, and spirit. For the Lord to take the cares and stress of the day from you. For His anointing upon you as you pray.
READ & MEDITATE ON: Matthew 28:20, I John 2:27
PRAY: For the Via de Cristo Weekend and for all those who have worked to make this weekend possible: the Secretariat, servant communities, parish representatives, sponsors, and all the Cursillistas in Colorado. For any other Via de Cristo, Cursillo, Walk to Emmaus, or other Cursillo-type weekend occurring on this weekend.
READ & MEDITATE ON: I Corinthians 4:1, I Peter 4:10, I Timothy 2:1
PRAY: For each Pilgrim by name - that the Lord would bless __________. That the Lord would speak to him/her in a special individual way. That the Lord would take from ______ any cares or interferences which may block him/her from hearing the messages. For physical strength during the weekend. For any health needs which exist. For the families of the pilgrims that they would not be overwhelmed by the absence of ________ and that their needs would be covered.
READ & MEDITATE ON: James 2:16, Philippians 4:19, Matthew 6:8
PRAY: For each team member by name. That _______ would have a servant’s heart and spirit. For physical strength and that he/she would sleep well and wake up refreshed each morning. That the Lord’s blessing be on him/her.
READ & MEDITATE ON: I Corinthians 9:19, Mark 10:44,
Philippians 4:13, Lamentations 3:22-23
PRAY: For each rollist(a) by name. That ________ would be anointed during the weekend. That the Lord’s peace and guidance be with ______ during his/her talk and during the discussions. That _______ would be able to minister to each pilgrim as needed. That he/she would be open and obedient to the Lord’s leading.
READ & MEDITATE ON: I John 2:27, Psalms 78:72, Hebrews 13: 20-21
PRAY: For each spiritual director by name. That _______ would leave the cares and concerns of his/her position or parish in the Lord’s hands. For those who are standing in for ______, taking on extra duties during this weekend. For strength as he/she ministers to the team members and pilgrims. For the anointing power of the Holy Spirit on ________.
READ & MEDITATE ON: Romans 15:13, Ephesians 6:10
PRAY: For the Rector(a), Assistants, Head Spiritual Director, Head Cook, Assistants, Musicians, and Angels by name. That ________ would be directly guided by the Holy Spirit and be blessed in accordance with the extra responsibility he/she has been given. May ________ be sensitive to the need of every person on the weekend and act accordingly. For physical strength and wisdom.
READ & MEDITATE ON: Luke 12:48, James 1:5
PRAY: For every Via de Cristo member who participates in Mananitas, Clausura,and the prayer and sacrifice that motivates the weekend. That all would travel in safety to and from the weekend.
READ AND MEDITATE ON: Hebrews 10:24-25, I John 1:7, Philippians 1:3-6
PRAY: For each member of the Via de Cristo community that they would take seriously the commitments of the fourth day and participate in permanent group reunions and monthly Ultreyas and encourage each new Pilgrim to do the same.
